Charles Hardin has twenty years experience in leading and managing software development at startups in Silicon Valley. He builds backend services and infrastructure that help solve climate and energy problems, and has deep experience in creating intellectual property portfolios with proven shareholder value.
As Principle Engineer at ChargePoint (NYSE: CHPT), he oversees next generation products by utilizing his previous experiences from graphics, distributed storage, networking, embedded platform systems, cloud infrastructure, and application development. Charles also serves as an internal consultant to executives on engineering team hiring, process improvements, analyzing information security, and advocating for standards and definitions for the industry.
He was the first employee hired after closing the Series A funding at Exablox. He built an innovative distributed storage system based upon content addressable objects that culminated in an acquisition by StorageCraft.
At 2wire, acquired by Pace, PLC., Charles developed home networking as a consumer product in the residential gateway and broadband access markets.
Charles has been awarded two patents in the area of Storage and Networking.
He holds a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree from New Mexico State University.
